Day 20
IPAD2 erasing blog posts Do not try to swith back and forth between Ipad and desktop. Override isues. Tips and pix lost in the ether world. Decided to postpone dieting of any kind until I put my faithful 4 legged companion animal, a dog, down. I knew mourning would include eating and drinking - These are a few of my favorite things.
When the dogs dies, when the IRS calls, when I'm feeling sad. I simple pop a cornmeal crust quattro formaggi pizza into the oven and then I don't feel so bad.
Since December 2nd, 2011 I've lost 30 pounds. 60 to go. 1/3 of the way.
I feel proud. No one noticed, so I have been telling folks. I stop cutting my hair when I acknowledged I had a weight problem. This year of renovation 2012, the hair will be the last thing I change. My hair now is really really really really long.
Last Saturday I took a 2.5 hour yoga workshop in San Carlos focused on the floor series. Great to get detailed instruction regarding the poses.
The room was not HOT for the workshop, just warm, then I did a class afterwards. Felt really good. Almost like a double. Been years since I did a double. I want to attend a 4 week course in hot yoga this Spring. Must make it happen. Must start doing doubles again.
Yoga tip of the day: Dandayamana Dhanurasana - Standing bow pulling pose. Set up with correct grip stretch towards the ceiling. Your first action is move your leg upand back. Your front will intuitively move forward. Keep your gaze, your eyes and your chin up. Fingers between your eyebrows.

Small Changes
Set intention. Think small.
Control the Mitochondria. Organize my Organelle. You have to know your power base to get things done. Increase mitochondrial uncoupling by meditation.
6:30 pm class last night. 6:00 am class today. Energy at the end of day class interesting. Easy physically, tougher mentally. The afternoon class was more alert. I love the 6:00 am class. Still in dream state, the dawn, or just ahead of the sun. Each day a nice new quiet clean slate upon which endless possibilities manifest. Easier to set intention. A determined belief in dictatorial control over mitochondria.
Oddest thought in class: What do callus's on my knees say about me as a person?
Yoga Pose problem of the day: Bow. Pulling my leg out and into the air above my waist line had spinning around like a dog chasing her tail. made two complete circles on my mat. Very 3 Stooges. Mind inside crying, "whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop." No mistake.
Yoga pose tip of the day: Ardha Kurmasana Half Tortoise pose Slowly with a full breathe bring your arms over your head. Move your spine up and straight out. The slow exhales stretches you as you guide your pinkie fingers to the floor.

Surfing on My City Street
It is Sunday. Off to the 4:3 pm afternoon class.Love the beach yet never learned to surf. Is it too late to
master this sport in the cold, cold Pacific waters of Northern California?
Standing on a board hooked in into a curl and zooming parallel to the shore.
Last night I blogged about surfing the hemispheres of the brain.
This morning I ran smack dab into a surfboard.
Intention manifests so be specific.
Yoga tip of the day: Dandayamana Dhanurasana Standing Bow Pose. Kick your rear leg up and out by steady pressure into the hand. Take your time. Keep your chin parallel to the floor.
